We celebrate 50 episodes! We talk about our past episodes and how much we have grown. We take a look at our statistics and talk about the impact our voice can make. The students share their experiences now that their back in virtual and how they believe the school got into quarantine with everyone. The students share their letters to their past selves and we share social media responses. We discuss how our choices can define us.

49. Mental Health Illness Awareness Week and School Chaos

In this episode, we talk about the first month of school and how they've handling being at full capacity. The students share how the school has been disorganized and how its been causing stress for them. They share their worries about the lack of policies on COVID that aren't there to protect them. They stress about lunch and the lack of social distancing and masks. The students talk about mental health illness week and how it is more important than ever now. 

48. How Young Does the War On Drugs Go?

In this episode, we start reflecting back on previous episodes as we approach our fifty episode. The students talk about their first few weeks of school and the struggles they have been facing.  We begin the conversation about red ribbon week. We discuss the statistics of alcohol and substance abuse on the youth. We explore the reasons why the numbers are extremely high. 47. Suicide Prevention Month

September is Suicide Prevention Month. 

 

In this episode, we discuss how suicide rate is the highest amongst teens and reason for it. We look at the risk factors that are involved. We explore why it is more difficult to talk about suicide than it is about mental health.  We look for ways to make it easier to talk about it and getting the community involved.

46. Our body or Our Civil Duty, Can't it be Both?

In this episode, we discuss the feelings about returning back to school. The students share their worries and concerns about the lack of communication they are receiving and if the school is prepared to receive them at full capacity. We discuss the health mandates and whether it our social responsibility to follow through. We discuss about misinformation spreading and how do we control. Listen here as we break it all down!

45. International Justice Court Part 2:Victims

In this episode, we continue the conversation about justice but the focus now is the victims. We discuss whether or not society actual cares about the victims. Does our biases and perceptions affect our views? Are we instinctually drawn to protect our own community or certain people?
